When you sit in Spina,you sit as you wish without thinking
When seated, the seat and the backrest of SPINA chair move automatically corresponding to user's sitting position or posture to best accommodate his/her lumbar. This epoch-making movement was achieved by newly developed mechanisms of the Passive Slide Seat(P.S.S.) that prevents a harmful influence of half-seated posture, and the Active Lumbar Support(A.L.S) that supports Your lumbar at any sitting position. These mechanisms follow any posture/position changes automatically during the sitting, requiring no adjustment.
The material of backrest is Elastomer, a sort of resin and rubber, which is laid out vertically like rib. The rib shape emphasizes a novel design as well as eliminating stickiness and inorganic touch of the material. The backrest allows the flow of air between user's back achieving an ideal material control.
Itoki's Spina chair was selected for use at the "Hokkaido Toyako Summi" held from July 7 to July 9, 2008 at the Windsor Hotel Toya.
This is not a revolution in chairs but simply a deepening of the relationship between chairs and people
